5K & 10K are Chip Timed Events

  • Your timing chip is affixed to the back of your race number bib. All you need to do is wear your bib on the front of your shirt. This is also important for identification purposes during the race.

  • Participants must wear the race number assigned to them and start at the designated time in order to receive a finish time.

  • Do NOT crumple or fold your bib as this will damage the antenna resulting in no time.
  • Do NOT remove the timing chip from your bib.
  • Your chip timer is recycled and must be returned upon completion of the race. A volunteer will be at the finish line to assist you with the removal and collection of your timer.
  • All timing systems will be reset one minute prior to the start. Remain behind the carpets until the start so your chip does not trigger an early starting time. Your time starts when your chip crosses both carpets so no reason to crowd. The first person to cross the line is the winner in case of ties.
  • Corral line up:  Runners with a pace of 6:00 or less line up in front. All other runners line up according to paces such as 6:01 - 7:30; 7:31 - 9:00; 9:01 - 10:30; 10:31 - 12:00; 12:01 - 13:00 and so on. All walkers should be in the back of the corral.

1 Mile Warrior Route

New in 2015 is the 1 Mile Warrior Route. A flat and easy route offered for those participants who need a level walking service for stability and shorter distance. This is not a chip timed event.
